Our Story
Faith. Family. Music. Legacy.
We never set out to become a family band. We were just a family following Jesus, raising a whole bunch of kids, making music, and trying to be faithful with whatever God put in front of us.

We were just a family following Jesus, raising a whole bunch of kids, making music, and trying to be faithful with whatever God put in front of us.
Somewhere along the way, WallerCo was born.
We’re John and Josee Waller, married for over 30 years, parents of ten incredible kids—seven biological and three adopted from Ukraine—and our family story has been anything but ordinary.
For years, many people knew John through his music and songs like “While I’m Waiting,” featured in the movie Fireproof. Music ministry has taken us all over the country, but as our children grew, something began to shift.
The ministry stopped looking like just John Waller.
It started looking like all of us.
Our kids picked up instruments. They started singing harmonies. They started writing and creating alongside us. Before we knew it, the Waller house had become part home, part rehearsal space, part recording studio—and usually a whole lot louder than any house probably should be. 😂
And we loved it.
Then God Started Writing a New Chapter.
What began around our home became WallerCo—our family taking the stage together and sharing songs about the things that matter most to us:
Faith. Family. Marriage. Parenting. Identity. Legacy. And Jesus.
But this story isn’t wrapped up in a neat little bow.
We’ve walked through seasons of tremendous blessing and seasons when we genuinely didn’t know how God was going to make a way.
We’ve raised ten children. We’ve experienced adoption and watched God knit a family together across continents. We’ve navigated the beautiful mess of marriage, parenting, ministry, finances, dreams, disappointments, and starting over.
We’ve had seasons where the future looked incredibly uncertain.
And we’ve watched God provide.
Again.
And again.
And again.
Those seasons changed us.
They reminded us that our security was never supposed to come from a bank account, a career, a platform, or having everything figured out.
Our security is Jesus.
And that’s the message underneath so much of what we do today.
Then a Little Girl Had a Dream.
One of the most unexpected chapters of WallerCo began with our youngest daughter, Journee.
She had a dream that her daddy died.
Like most little girls who absolutely adore their dad, the thought scared her. John sat with her and talked about life, death, heaven, and the hope we have in Jesus.
That conversation eventually became a song:
“Daddy’s Here (Journee’s Dream).”
The heart of it was simple:
Daddy is here today. One day he won’t be. But Jesus always will be.
So let’s just trust in Jesus.
We shared that little piece of our family’s story online, never imagining what God would do with it.
Millions of views later, messages began pouring in from dads, daughters, moms, grandparents, people grieving someone they loved, and families realizing just how quickly these years pass.
It became bigger than a song.
It became a reminder:
Be present. Love your people well. Say the things that matter. And point them to Jesus.
This Is WallerCo.
Today, we travel together as a family, piling kids, instruments, merch, luggage, and probably entirely too many snacks into whatever will get us to the next town. 😂
You’ll find us playing churches, festivals, theaters, fairs, family events—and sometimes standing around somewhere with good acoustics singing simply because we can’t help ourselves.
But we’re not trying to build a picture-perfect family brand.
Because we’re not a picture-perfect family.
We’re a real one.
We laugh hard. We disagree. We make mistakes. We pray. We forgive. We eat a ridiculous amount of food on the road. We worship together. We keep choosing one another.
And through all of it, we’re learning what it means to build something that lasts longer than a viral moment, a successful song, or even our own lifetime.
We’re building legacy.
We want our children to know who they are.
We want marriages to fight for one another.
We want fathers to understand how deeply their presence matters.
We want mothers to know their prayers aren’t wasted.
We want families to worship together again.
And above everything else, we want people to encounter Jesus.
Because eventually the stages disappear.
The applause stops.
The kids grow up.
And every one of us reaches the end of our days.
What remains is what we did with the life God gave us—and whether we pointed the people entrusted to us toward Him.
That’s why we sing.
That’s why we travel.
That’s why we tell our story.
That’s WallerCo.
Faith. Family. Music. Legacy.
And we’re just getting started.
“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” — the verse that has followed this family for twenty years.
